The Other Side of Amen is still a young ministry, but Bible teaching from the site is already reaching people in other parts of the world. This page has been created to share those stories and to let readers see how God's Word is being used in places far from our own community.
The first story comes from a fellowship in Itibo, Kenya, where believers are gathering to pray, worship, study Scripture, and encourage one another in Christ.

Mission story 01 · Kenya
Itibo Young Faith Christ Fellowship — Kenya
Itibo Young Faith Christ Fellowship began in 2019, when 13 adults and 7 children began meeting in a home for prayer and Bible reading. As the fellowship grew, one of the elders allowed the group to use his field, and they began gathering outdoors for worship and Bible teaching.
In 2026, the fellowship discovered teaching from Dean Butler through Facebook and The Other Side of Amen website. They began using the Bible teaching in their fellowship and expressed a desire to follow the same biblical beliefs presented in the website's Statement of Faith.
Job Mokua Ezekiel reports that the fellowship has continued to grow and now has 93 active adults and 27 children. He also reports that others are interested in joining as they hear the Bible teaching being shared.
The purpose of this relationship is biblical teaching, encouragement, prayer, fellowship, and helping people grow in the Word of God.
Though separated by many miles, believers can encourage one another through Scripture and prayer. The fellowship is using the teaching to strengthen its members and share God's Word with others, while readers of The Other Side of Amen can pray for them and be encouraged by their faithfulness.
The Reality of Ministry There
The fellowship faces practical challenges. Many people walk long distances to visit homes and encourage others with the Gospel. Access to Bibles and ministry materials is limited, and transportation is difficult.
Reaching a cyber café to access Bible teaching from Facebook and The Other Side of Amen website can require considerable travel, and the cost of using a cyber café is difficult for them.
Many families in the fellowship live with poverty, including difficulty obtaining enough food, paying school expenses, and maintaining adequate housing. The fellowship currently worships outdoors under trees, and rain can sometimes cause services to end early.
Mission story 02 · Kenya
Lifewords Ministry in Kenya
We are thankful for the opportunity to stay connected with ministries that are putting God's Word into the hands and hearts of people around the world.
Clara Ngobolia, who leads Lifewords' ministry in Kenya, recently shared these photos with us showing some of their work. Lifewords uses Bible-based materials and programs in schools, churches, prisons, and communities, with a special focus on children and young people.
Their work goes beyond simply distributing Bible material. They train teachers and ministry workers and help young people understand Scripture and apply biblical truth to everyday decisions. Through programs such as Choose Life, students are encouraged to think about character, choices, consequences, and how God's Word speaks into real life.
This is exactly the kind of ministry we are glad to encourage. The goal is not simply to put Christian material in someone's hands, but to help people understand God's Word, teach it faithfully, and use it to strengthen others.
Please pray for Clara and the Lifewords team as they continue serving young people, churches, schools, and communities in Kenya and beyond.

Bible Teaching for Prison Ministry
Another door has opened for The Other Side of Amen to provide Bible teaching where it may be needed.
We have begun working with Free Prison Ministry, a ministry that provides Christian books and Bible material to men and women in prison.
We recently prepared five Bible lessons for them to review and use. The lessons cover how to read and use the Bible, who God is, who Jesus Christ is, who the Holy Spirit is, and how a person can know he is truly saved.
The material is being provided freely. My name and The Other Side of Amen do not need to appear on the copies. The purpose is not to promote this ministry. The purpose is to get the truth of God's Word into the hands of people who need it.
I have also told them that if there is a particular subject or need among those they serve, I am willing to prepare Bible teaching specifically for that need.
Please pray that God will use these lessons to reach people with the Gospel and help believers grow in Christ. Pray also that He will continue opening doors for sound Bible teaching to go places I could never go myself.
Where We Are Right Now
The Other Side of Amen website and ministry are still young and currently have a relatively small but growing regular readership.
The Other Side of Amen does not yet have an established mission fund. The ministry has now sent its first small financial help from book-sale proceeds to assist with printing Bible teaching materials in Kenya. Any future help will depend upon the resources God provides, and no continuing financial support has been promised to this fellowship or to individuals.
The ministry will continue providing Bible teaching, encouragement, prayer, Christian resources, and a place to share the fellowship's story with readers.
We are grateful for the relationship that God has opened and want to follow it carefully, prayerfully, and with a clear focus on His Word.
Our Hope for the Future
As the website grows, our prayer is that God may use this mission page to help more people learn about the fellowship. We also pray that, in His time, He may open doors for additional resources, Bibles, helpful connections, and other opportunities to strengthen the work.
We depend upon God to guide the work and open the right doors in His time.
