No-Fuss Slow Cooker Chicken and Gravy

Tender chicken and rich gravy made with a few common ingredients and almost no fuss.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1½ to 2 pounds)
  • 1 can (10½ ounces) condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1 packet chicken gravy mix
  • ½ cup water or low-sodium chicken broth
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • Mashed potatoes, rice, noodles, or biscuits for serving, optional

Directions

  1. Place the chicken in the slow cooker.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the soup, gravy mix, water or broth, and black pepper. Pour the mixture over the chicken.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 5 to 6 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours, until the chicken is tender and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
  4. Shred or slice the chicken, then stir it into the gravy.
  5. Serve over mashed potatoes, rice, noodles, or biscuits.
